🚨 Must watch 🚨 As much as we can get frustrated at the manager, players, the boardroom, whatever you choose Do not forget that football & the PL is not a fair game. It is not a fair playing field. It's tilted & tainted towards the powerful & established Newcastle Utd are not in need of any protection of going bust with their owners. If the system was fair & had clubs well being at the forefront of any financial regulations, then it would allow owners to put down their money into a club & not allow them to pull the rug at the drop of a hat, leaving the club in a financial mess to sustain itself. That is just plain & simple logic Pumping usable capital into a business helping it grow & compete with others in that chosen field, happens all around the world. But football doesn't just want to prevent clubs going bust, it wants to protect the clubs at the top from losing their seats at the big table Coz if they do, they can go off & start their own league. That's what terrifies the PL & also UEFA So the system is built on 'we scratch your back, you scratch ours & f*ck everybody else' Facts. So my club may be sat in 10th place & I might be frustrated to f*ck at x, y, z but end of the day we had a summer of turmoil with our best player wanting to leave because of financial regulations. He didn't want to leave to go back to Sweden. No. He wanted out as he thought we weren't capable of challenging for top titles. Why? Lack of money to do it. (And we are owned by PIF!) Then, because of financial regulations, we have a distinct & obvious handicap in not being able to go out & get who we really want to replace him. Cause wages come into the factor. Not to mention, top players won't join us for the same reason Isak wants to leave. This all comes from FFP. That comes from self enforced salary caps. That comes from still having to rely on average players you won't able to replace if you break your bank on one or two players. It's all regulations to stop Newcastle Utd (and others) competing & taking a seat at the big boys table. That's what it is. Nobody is saying there should be NO rules & go & buy whoever you want. That is extreme. The rules should be level & fair for all. If you want to restrict spending, you do it in a way that stops ALL clubs reaching a spending limit but importantly allowing ALL clubs to reach that limit if they have the money to do so. So if PL clubs cant spend more than £300m gross in a season then fine. All clubs are within that limit. All. That's a fair system. In order to control sustainability, the clubs owners need to provide proof of funds & affordability. Without prejudice. Saying all clubs can only spend 70% of their own revenue is bullshit. Utter bullshit. And ppl say "well just increase your revenues". Clubs do. Newcastle have. But the already established clubs bring in more revenue because of precisely that... they are already established. Companies don't just give out the same contracts to all clubs at a standard rate. Adidas will pay Man Utd way way more than they will pay Newcastle or Villa because they can. Because they don't need to pay everyone the same. That's commercialism. The game is rigged. Everyone knows it. But it's constantly ignored. And it isn't just my club. I would love any club to challenge the established. When Chelsea did it it was class. Fun as fuck. It brought the PL some of the best ever players and Jose Mourinho. City was class. Seeing them take Arsenal players was funny as fuck. Beating Man Utd in the last second of the season will never be forgotten. Leicester winning the PL was a miracle. It won't happen again. Not for another 50 years. They aren't the rule, they are the total exception. If PIF were allowed to spend their money, they could have managed to bring Mbappe to the PL. Imagine that. But no, not allowed. Talk about pissing on your own product cause you're protecting some members & stopping others. Absolute farce. #nufc

Jamaal Lascelles fought for Newcastle United when not many others would, standing up against a squad full of mercenaries during the relegation season to ultimately earn the captaincy under Rafa Benitez at just 22. 💫 After guiding us through some extremely tough times, Lascelles led #NUFC to an immediate promotion back to the Premier League in 2017. 📈 Who would have thought back then that he’d be pocketing one of the world’s best players in Kylian Mbappe against PSG in the Champions League at St. James’ Park just six years later, before lifting a major trophy at Wembley less than two years after that? 🏆 Farewell to a modern day club legend, and to one of our greatest ever leaders. All the very best at Leicester and for whatever comes in the future, skip. 🫡 “Southgate’s got his number…” 🎶
