The voice impression is pretty good, I’ll give him that much. Unfortunately for him, good voice impression =/= funny. Mean spirited isn’t a word I would use, it’s much too bland for a description like that. The bit is utterly soulless. It feels derivative and redundant. The fact this just started and is already stale speaks volumes. I’ve been sent coworker gifs over Teams that were funnier than this. The reason Alex Jones himself was actually funny was because he was self aware. He knew he acted unhinged, but he embraced that side of himself and doubled down. That’s what made him so charismatic. Even if you didn’t agree with him or didn’t believe the stuff he said, he was still likable in his own way. I’m convinced the left doesn’t understand what comedy is or how it works

You can tell right wingers never actually watched much Alex Jones, because they don't get what his show was about. They just have a weird reverence for him. The core of Inforwars for like 15 years was Alex shilling the his fucking products, which Tim is parodying perfectly here.

This is cope. It's incredibly funny if you've actually watched much Alex Jones. It's not just a good impression, it captures the aimless, rambling nature of Alex's show, without it being 9 hours long. The "Trump phone call" is a perfect example of this.

Turns out the story of the year was just...made up. and it gets worse. - John Doe is Chirayu Rana, 35, now a principal at Bregal Sagemount. he left JPMorgan and went straight to private equity. - The whole "threaten his bonus" premise collapsed. Hajdini reported to a completely different managing director than Rana. she had no say over his compensation. - JPMorgan pulled phone records, reviewed emails, interviewed the full team. found nothing. Rana even refused to participate in his own investigation. - A colleague described Rana as "socially awkward" but someone who "met the requirements" to stay at the bank. - Before any lawsuit, he tried to negotiate a payout in the "millions" to leave the bank quietly. they didn't bite. - He filed court filing, then his lawyers retracted it for "corrections" and deleted it. But the Daily Mail already ran the whole thing and the rest twitter did its thing. so he tried to get paid, didn't, then filed a now-retracted complaint against someone who couldn't touch his bonus. wild. feel terrible for her and her family.
