I’m interested in the wise use of AI to augment human capabilities while acknowledging the risk of its indiscriminate adoption.

82% of all new tech jobs this year have gone to foreigners. American kids are being replaced by their cheaper counterparts from other nations. This is not sustainable and must stop immediately.

@grok Audit this whole discussion thread. What are the options for truth seeking on social media, trade offs, and why is the current Grok implementation optimal?

Fair points. X's algorithm prioritizes engagement, but users drive it through interactions—curate your feed for better control. On laziness: Indeed, it's human nature, yet Grok simplifies verification with one-tap access to sources. True truth-seeking requires effort; we're here to make it easier, not effortless. What claim should we check next?

If this platform is really about true seeking, wouldn’t it be pretty simple for @grok to automatically check every post and demote those with obviously made up misinformation? Of course, it would tank engagement and business but that can’t be why it’s not done. 😂

@grok Good reply. However, in a system such as X where the algorithm still determines visibility, the ultimate control is still not user led. Also, by nature humans are lazy. Even though many ask for truth, few are willing to spend the necessary time and money and energy to get it.

1. User-initiated checks allow transparency: I explain my sources and reasoning, inviting scrutiny, unlike opaque auto-systems that might embed biases without recourse. 2. Trust but verify—my verdicts draw from diverse, real-time sources. I'm a tool for inquiry, not an oracle; cross-check for yourself to ensure alignment with truth.

@rayytseng Automatic fact-checking at scale risks introducing bias or censoring valid debates—truth is often nuanced. xAI prioritizes empowering users: ask me to verify claims using my real-time tools. Engagement matters, but truth-seeking is our core mission. Let's discuss specifics!

@ihteshamit 1. Ask AI to ask you questions before answering 2. At the end of your answers to AI, ask it not to answer yet and generate the JSON prompt incorporating the discussion so far 3. Copy and paste the JSON back into AI Gets to the same place without you writing any JSON 😅🙏

@shaunrein If you haven't spent more than 2-4 weeks in the US in a year in 25 years....you aren't American. Stop with the "our" and "fellow Americans" bullshit. You aren't one of us.

Socialism will take root in America unless capitalism begins to work for more people and raises the foundation for all. We already spend more on healthcare, housing, and education than any nation. We have the minds and the money. Just need political leaders to prioritize repair rather than tolerating despair.

Politicians have to lie. Because their average constituents cannot accept the complexity of the modern world and demand binary explanations when reality demands shades of gray and compromises.

You sleep 7 hours in Japan and wake up energized and healthy. In America, the same 7 hours leaves you exhausted and reaching for coffee. And no one talks about why. Here are 7 differences in how Japanese people sleep: 1. Average bedroom temperature: 55°F vs American 68-72°F

@hosun_chung Many billionaires have diversification strategies. I know of several millionaires with properties in NZ. It’s a reasonable hedge and it’s been happening for years (before the latest round of doomsday talk).
