@swagoszn_ Got two tacos and a couple of colas … they priced in the ‘platter’ with (not asked for) a splat of beans/rice … $30 + minimum 15%tip requested. A tip for pushing a foam pack of a ‘platter’ … no, thanks. Got me once …

Happy Birthday to the late Aubrey McClendon, out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Aubrey McClendon’s legacy in Oklahoma is a highly polarized tale of a visionary “wildcatter” who fundamentally transformed Oklahoma City’s economy and skyline, balanced against a reckless risk-taker whose career ended in financial ruin and federal antitrust indictments. As the co-founder and long-time CEO of Chesapeake Energy, McClendon was a driving force behind the American shale revolution, pioneering hydraulic fracturing ( fracking) techniques that reshaped global energy markets. In Oklahoma City, he is remembered as a civic champion who used his massive fortune to fund local institutions, develop world-class public spaces, and bring major league sports to the state. However, his aggressive, debt-fueled business model led to his ouster from Chesapeake in 2013, followed by a tragic death in a 2016 car crash just one day after being indicted by a federal grand jury for bid-rigging—On March 2, 2016, less than 24 hours after the indictment, McClendon died at age 56 when he drove his vehicle at high speed directly into an Oklahoma City bridge embankment without wearing a seatbelt—Ultimately, his legacy remains heavily divided. To detractors, he personified the dangerous, over-leveraged excesses of the fracking boom. To many Oklahomans, however, he remains a beloved icon whose unbridled optimism and immense civic pride lifted Oklahoma City into a modern, major-league metropolis; 7-14-1959 to 3-2-2016…..

Tell me you're not old enough to recall the 1970s 50s-nostalgia craze exemplified by American Graffiti and Happy Days without telling me that.
Rusty Shackleford@Gr33nOnions
Everything is nostalgia slop. I don't want to grow up, I don't want to build the future. I want to go backwards, I want to be kid again, I want to be in the womb where it's safe. I don't want to grow, I want to melt away into memories

@IkeNotabot @davidfholt He denies the problem and it is obviously growing city wide.

@rbmojo @davidfholt Approached by pan handlers in the drive-thru about half the time recently. This had never happen until it started a couple years ago. Mentioned similar things to the Mayor but he just hid my comment.

Here are some of the key paragraphs from the speech by Fed Governor Chris Waller, which struck markets as quite hawkish (link below).
This has two immediate implications:
First, it contributed to a notable increase in market expectations for Fed rate hikes (Bloomberg tables below); and
Second, it has heightened the importance of this week's US CPI and PPI inflation data.

@FrankBr05713205 When my dad was laid off from Rockwell as a draftsman he worked at our local Sinclair. I loved going there as a youth - burgers from the Dairy Queen, the smell of tires, hosing the driveway …
