So, I finally dug into this Limited Edition Blu-ray release from Arrow. It looks and sounds amazing, the extras are great, and it features one of the best commentary tracks I’ve ever heard by a film critic.

None of this is fun.

When this album came out in 1987, my friends and I played it non stop! I haven't listened to it in years as I soured on White Lion after their third album. I picked up a copy on vinyl recently and I'm going to give it another go.

I worked hard this week, but having a really nice evening. The weather is perfect. Chef’s kiss.

So glad that I picked up this long out-of-print DVD of Tom Hanks’ comedy classic from 1985.

Now spinning 🔊 Got my hands on one of my top wants from Record Store Day 2026—Heartbeat City Live (1984) by THE CARS on clear vinyl. The mix on this sounds amazing—super clean, great balance, and really brings that show to life.

Happy Splatterday! 🥶 🔪 Iced (1988) aka Blizzard of Blood First watch. Really enjoyed this dumb, low-budget revenge slasher set in a ski resort. I found the movie fun, the kills generally good, and has a good-natured cheesiness.

The “Once Upon A Time” album by Simple Minds is one of the best 80s LPs, according to me and a lot of other awesome people. The song “Alive & Kicking” is on this album which in and of itself is a great joy, but in all honesty this entire album is a bonafide classic.
