@nathansteussy @HalfCourtHoops The five second count is not the same infraction as a delay of game though. That’s the point I’m making. It’s the 2-3 seconds before the 5 second count where it’s blatantly obvious he *could* pick up the ball and inbound, but deliberately doesn’t

@rcal19 @HalfCourtHoops The ref started the five second count to inbound the ball once it was clear the Nebraska player could have picked up the ball. Since the clock was rolling but the shot clock doesn’t start until the first player touches it, you can still waste plenty of time.

One of the 100 different coaching observations from this Iowa/Nebraska game - Nebraska turning a 15 second difference to 5 killing off 10 dead seconds to shorten the clock here was awesome. Creighton under McDermott used to do this all the time as well.

@DavidEickholt 1. Why are we in zone when they are killing us in it? 2. Why has this team not figured out how to counter a double team in the post? This is actually maddening and points to terrible coaching at this point.

Iowa’s lack of three-point shooting is killing them. They are 1-12 on the day. Virginia is packing the paint and making life hell on the Hawkeyes. Iowa trails 28-21 with 1:48 to go in the second.

@rcal19 @JaretGold @IanPurdy7 Idk it does. P5 guys are also transferring “down”. Look at Utah St: MJ Collins was at VT first, and then Vandy. He transfers to USU and then absolutely balls out. If the trend continues though, they’ll be forced to change it. Ppl watch the NCAAT for the upsets & Cinderellas.

My solution to fix March Madness? Actually get the best mid-major teams in the tournament. 18-11 Penn got in over 24-5 Yale 24-10 Hofstra got in over 26-5 UNCW 17-17 Lehigh got in over 26-6 Navy Mid-majors should give the regular season champ the bid

@IanPurdy7 Generally I agree. I just worry about the average margin of victory going up and upsets decreasing, there’s a way to fix that

I do understand that nothing can be done, and that it's not generally in the 80's in Iowa in March, but I would be so pissed if I had to play a NCAA Tournament game when it was 81 degrees and rising in the arena.
