It's our 1000th brew next month. What should we brew? Could be something we mature for our 10th birthday in May 2024. Equally, could drink fresh & just pop something into a barrel for later. All suggestions welcome* *except that @salfordbeerfest

@BeerNouveau @itsNeilWalker @SarahSommelier Problem is that this is usually a weekday and there's only so many days I can take off for beer things! That said I will be judging the SIBA NW one later this week.

We’re currently pulling together the judges list for the SIBA Bottle & Can Awards (6th December). This is done over zoom with anonymised beers out to you ahead of the judging day. If you’re an experienced beer judge reply below and I’ll see what I can do!

It is with a tear in my eye and a heavy heart that I make the following announcement. I have made the tough decision to close Thirst Class Ale over the coming months.

@BeerNouveau @mancshomebrew Given the date, the scoresheets and the pencils I think that's my first attempt at introducing @BJCP_Official judging to the club. Probably after the third @UKNHC which was the first one I judged in IIRC.

@jamesksowerby @mancshomebrew That recipe will make a wierd, astringent, soft drink, I think. Roasting and boiling the malt seems guaranteed to wipe out all enzymes.

This Sunday 3pm @CafeBeermoth we kick off this years Will It Brew competition! Bring along an ingredient that you wouldn't normally find in beer. We'll randomly distribute them and have a go at brewing with them. We'll also have our usual homebrew share with feedback & social
