Mikhail Kavun is a geologist who was arrested in 2022 for his anti-war stance and spent 9 months at a pre-trial detention centre in Russia. “Memorial” recognized him as a political prisoner. RCDA spoke with Mikhail and his son who lives in Montreal: youtu.be/x-bJ9sB9UDM.

We will expose the crimes committed by Putin and show the Canadian society and government that Russia is not Putin, that a criminal's place is in prison, not in the Kremlin, and that the Canadian government must not recognize the legitimacy of this criminal authority!

Yesterday, a petition to ease the immigration process for people prosecuted for political reasons (rcda.ca/petition-en/) was presented in the Parliament of Canada. The government now has 45 calendar days to submit an official response.

Join us for our monthly Letter-Writing to Political Prisoners Events in Canada. According to @OvdInfo there are now 945 criminal cases against anti-war dissidents. Remember that dissidents, especially those whose names you rarely hear in the media, need our support.
