@primo21_ @akarol Both can be true, and they are. There’s the $550 a month family Civic and the $2k a month family Escalades. Both play into the average. BUT, some folks are also paying $850 for that Civic too.

@Rifnos_ There’s variables at play too. Credit score, vehicle type, location, down, loan terms…this is the average, so some are lower, some are higher. But financial irresponsibility plays a part too, those shiny $100k Jeeps are worth it for some folks at $2k+ a month.

@rceclipseg2 Just checked, my bsd you can eaxily get a rolla for 350 monthly brand new, and pay it off faster once you can. No reason we should hit 750 if we dont got the money lol

@rceclipseg2 @noobtubed @TheSaurus831 Perhaps but my roommate just got a new car (she’s dumb btw) and her credit is sub 600 but she’s a teacher and works part-time at the local grocery store. Her payment is 700 something for a Nissan kick 😂

@Vasiliy14195579 Financially illiterate people buying things they can’t afford, lenders lending, rising costs…many many variables.

@rceclipseg2 What are the details behind that payment? A lot goes into it. The trade in vehicle, was he negative? The credit? The type of vehicle? A lot goes into getting a number that high. I Finance 2 high end cars plus insurance, and I'm just under a thousand a month.

@rceclipseg2 @firagawalkwthme I got a subprime mortgage in 2006 that was $880 a month. Later I refinanced and lowered it to $660. I’ll never have that again.

@audia687655 That’s ridiculous. Here in the SW, constant increases. We are headed tha way too. It’s egregious.

@rceclipseg2 Over the last 10 years we've seen the downfall of the middle class. If you did not own your home, or be well off 10-15 years ago, you are struggling now. It seems the system was built that way. It's just been accelerated to an extreme point

@wontsaynun @DimmieG1983 No offense taken. At all. It’s true. But, it’s not that cut & dry either. Greedy folks don’t belong to any one race.
