@TrooperBob_SC @ABCNews4 They felt it over by Dorchester and Ashley Phosphate too. I don’t see it on the USGS earthquake map yet, but that has to be what it was. (And not the start of an alien invasion)

@akafaceUS For those confused, what’s illegal is the push off / speed boost. Using a bottle handoff to boost is called “sticky bottles”. UCI rules ban “Rider […] being pushed/towed/held by a vehicle passenger.” But cycling culture is very “nod and wink” / “it’s fine if we don’t get caught”

Shouldn't this be against the rules?

@ifsclimbing @d_tosidis I think there’s no stream right now because semifinals got delayed to 6pm / 1800 Seoul time. There’s nothing to stream right now, since they were probably never set up to stream quals. I think they will stream the semis at that time. The semis will count as the finals.

@wolfepoppycock @The_Left_Prince @benphillips76 Nah it ain’t the healthy people that are dying. It’s old people or ill people that don’t have air conditioning. Or people that have to take medications that limit their body’s ability to sweat or regulate their temperature. People die in their houses, even if they’re hydrated.

If you don’t allow people to turn off promotional push notifications like @DoorDash does here, you’re shortsighted, and you’re gonna lose users. Trust helps keep people hooked.

@nireyal I set a good example, showing them that by limiting my own tech usage, I spend quality time with them. They know that me putting down my laptop and phone at 4pm means dedicated daddy time. If I need to break this rule, I apologize sincerely and take rescheduling seriously.

The scripts for Fawlty Towers by @JohnCleese and Connie Booth are a treat to read. So much implication and tension delivered with such clarity. In most comidy, the humor occurs in the main character’s face. In FT, we’re dealing in humor behind Basil’s back. Sublime. Thanks, JC&CB

@kimballscott I know it’s not “about gender bias” in an academic sense, but I just finished “I am Malala”, and it was intense to see gender bias through such an extreme and gripping lens.

@KentBeck Yes, I’ve seen it done. I’ve hired it done. It requires: a focused, skilled developer working in a stack he or she is confident in, awesome requirements, minimal meetings, a great billable rate, and a dev who is willing to live on less than half their earning potential.

A friend (and extra-effective developer) asked me if there was such a thing as a 10-hour-per-week developer. They want to balance family obligations with work. Does anyone here have such a work schedule? Hirers, under what circumstances would such a schedule make sense for you?

@Codecademy Your app is pretty, but you need to step up your QA game. Nearly every review or quiz contains at least one error. Here: You show examples of the && operator, but teach on the || operator.

@Codecademy Your app is pretty, but you need to focus on best practices. Grouping by column number? That's dangerous, brittle, and outdated.
