The young people getting on their high horse about opera and ballet recently are the same idiots that say things like “who even watches tv anymore”. Like that isn’t just as offensive to an industry that employs and entertains FAR more people. Kindly shut up.

Just realised I’ve somehow managed to get all this was into the year without finding out the origins of “very mindful, very demure”. I honestly have no idea where it came from and kept forgetting to look it up. Might leave it a mystery.

There are a couple of faithfuls in the second season of Australian Traitors who put every British faithful to shame. Maddy and Jaz have absolutely nothing on them. First time I’ve ever been Team Faithful watching the show.

I’m so confused by the way Saltburn is being discussed. Is it not just a fun film with some silly stuff in it? I didn’t watch it thinking it was saying anything about society. I’m so surprised people are watching it to find a meaning and then being very cross about it.

@ysheeblack I feel like people take films too seriously these days. Why does every film have to have a serious meaning behind it? Can’t we just have a bit of fun watching some mad rich people for a bit? “But what is the film saying about society” WHO CARES!

In the coming years, trans people and their allies are going to be let down by a fair few public figures. Some national treasures. Plenty of people they previously thought were brilliant. One thing we can all find comfort in though, is that it’ll never be @KathyBurke.

Treat it the same way cinemas used to treat phone noises. We had proper signs, proper adverts, constant reminders. The glare of a phone screen is just as bad as a phone ringing. People need to be told as if they are toddlers. Rude little toddlers. God I despise them. Many thanks.

Dear @ODEONCinemas. I appreciate the attempt to address phone usage in the cinema by saying “there’s only one screen you should be watching”. But that’s simply too subtle for the sort of thick idiot that goes on their phone in the cinema.
