alright; in the spirit of professional development in the form of play reply back with unhinged things you have got an llm to build for you me: a file system, a programming language, collection of network based protocols and countless transpiles from one lang to another lang not a competition though the spirit is play. you can build anything now what have you built for shits and giggles? why did you learn from it? from my pov i suspect people aren’t pushing the tools and models hard enough. if you just use them in your day job then you are missing out on some cold hard facts you can do anything now what have you been putting off on building? build it

@RickStrahl @AvaloniaUI LINQPad's tight integration with a WebView was a major potential sticking point. Fortunately, the XPF Native WebView appears to work flawlessly, using the Safari engine on the Mac.

Looking at some #dotnetmaui discussions one that caught my attention was how big in size a Maui app is compared to xamarin.We finished porting our app and it’s twice the size. It’s shocking. How big in size is your app? What optimisation flags settings do u use? There are no docs

Does Hot Reload work in @AvaloniaUI? I tried on MacOS with the HotAvalonia package, but doesn't seem to work nicely, just renders everything with the background color of the root Control. Perhaps there is a better way?

@XamarinGuy Check "Download size for new installs" in play console app bundle explorer for the most reliable download size indicator. Raw apk and aab files typically contain code for multiple architectures, but user will only be given the slice appropriate for their device.

#dotnet #dotnetmaui In my efforts to publish a polished Android application using .NET MAUI, we've encountered a challenge. While a simple .NET 7 blank app with Link SDK assembly only takes up 28 MB, our complete production-ready app occupies 100 MB in size.

@mac_cain13 It was for an in-person conference - one person could play a game on the phone and others around could watch on the mirrored screen. Haven't tried streaming the feed but it was a big improvement over QuickTime for latency.

@rdavis_au Hope you’ll give Bezel a try! Did you stream the using some video conferencing app or so? Wondering if OBS being a webcam stream vs a screen share also has different performance implications.

Pretty happy with the latency of Bezel so far. Still amazed it beats QuickTime! The difference is pretty noticeable, especially when put side-by-side. Seems a small detail, but I'm sure it will make Bezel feel better than most alternatives when you try it.

@mac_cain13 It feels like overkill, but I've used OBS Studio to mirror my device when latency was a key factor. It would be good to have a lighter-weight alternative 🤠

@beeradmoore Yeah not sure why changing that doesn't also change the 'target framework context' (name I invented just now for what the dropdown in the video controls). One step closer to migrated 😎

@rdavis_au Wait, no. Wait, what is that? I was using the main dropdown at the top which is my build target where yours says "My Mac (MacCatalyst)". In the past if I was working on cross platform and I'd select Android it would change compile defines to Android, and back again for iOS.

I am rather confused about #MAUI handlers. In XF I used to create a custom NavigationPage and create a custom renderer which would allow me to place ToolBarItems on the left as well as the right (eg. I want a cancel button on the left and a save button on the right).
