ADVANCE NOTICE: Chatham Hill #Chatham carriageway resurfacing works are due to take place over 2 dates; Thurs 5 & Mon 16 March. The works will take 2 nights to complete on each date, between the hours of 8pm to 6am. The road will be closed whilst works are being carried out.

Road surface temperatures are dropping below zero overnight so we will be out treating our primary route only by 7am tomorrow morning. Expected hazards #Hoarfrost, #ice with uncertainty on risk of #sleet/#snow so crews will remain on standby awaiting further instructions.

Gritting crews have been working throughout the night to cover Medway’s main routes.
Although salt does not prevent snow from settling, it can help prevent ice from forming.
Our designated winter service staff are working around the clock to monitor and minimise disruption.
