Dear @SouthernWater read thread carefully: 1/ I live alone in a small studio flat and I’m on Southern Water’s Priority Services register due to financial vulnerability and mental health struggles. My direct debit jumped from £28.88 to almost £80/month with barely any warning.

@SouthernWater what is the constant noise (loud humming) coming from the treatment works at Langney Point BN23? It’s really loud and been going all day for some while now.

@LewesDC has anyone inspected the new @GreggsOfficial drive-thru being built by the Esso garage on A27. Can see a couple of washing machines the site are using, appear to be pumping waste water into rain drains. Not sure that's complaint with @SouthernWater waste water guidelines

@SouthernWater There are loud works happening on Elphinstone road, Hastings right now. It looks like they're fixing a leak which has been there for weeks. I wouldn't call this an emergency. Could this work not be done through the day?

@MoonieNo5 Hi There, The lights are currently in place to assist with facilitating tankers that are currently in the area to mitigate a potential pollution. The permit is in place until the end of 11/05, so they won't be there too much longer. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Kelly

@SouthernWater Very poor service, wish I could cancel and go elsewhere but not able to do this! No meter readings taken since January 2026, no bills issued since July 2025, meter underwater again. I really should not be bothered as my credit keeps rising.

What poor service from @SouthernWater no wonder there is water shortages! Reported a leak Monday morning and was told it would be assessed within 3 days, we are now in day 4. Being fobbed off by customer service @Ofwat #utilities #poorcustomerservice #water
