@readingkate I'd note most folks with strong views on the matter either way get this wrong, starting with not knowing there is an Atlantic rift one the matter [that UK English is winning] and that many publishing houses customise the mark to be between an em dash and and en dash.

Fabulous news! ✨ We’ve found someone to provide flexible respite for Dad while I’m on leave so he gets a bit of a break from caring for Mum. I’m so relieved! I can get on the plane this weekend without worrying and actually relax while in Melbourne 😌

My partner, David Winter, is also an editor at Text, and has been for nearly 14 years. This is his second-last week there. (We both started there on the same day and that’s where we met. Love is gross, sorry!!)
