English

@craigintonJR @arideeznuts123 like you showed, and how scary it can be to get help at all, or he non-existent or accessible that help is in the first place. a lot of people who self injure are just people like you or me trying to cope in the ways that they know how/are accustomed too.
English

@craigintonJR @arideeznuts123 in order to get help, you have to want that help, and on average it takes an addicted person seven or so tries to kick the habit. and even then recovery is daily, active choice you have to make. it’s incredibly difficult. then you have to worry about the social stigma -
English

@craigintonJR @arideeznuts123 and even if it was for attention, that’s an insane length to go to for it. only someone struggling immensely would go as far as to harm their own body and risk infection to garner sympathy. either way, the person needs help.
English

@craigintonJR @arideeznuts123 hate to burst your bubble but NSSI (non-suicidal self injury) often mimics similar patterns as those seen in drug addiction. the act of self injury encourages the production of endorphins like dopamine. but it fades and so the cycle repeats, much like any other addiction.
English

@arideeznuts123 folk i cut myself cause im so edgy like son go buy a gun stop seeking attention because ur father left and ur mom pretends to care
English

@arideeznuts123 this is insanely concerning and by the looks of it still somewhat fresh ofc your mom/people are gonna be concerned :((

@Fishyyyeneko17 honestly, compared to what i’ve seen, these are relatively cheap. if you’ve got a primary care doctor i’m pretty sure you can ask them for overdose prevention materials for even cheaper/free of charge, same with the plan b pill ‼️
