Do you think it’s possible that the Dune Trilogy could compete with The Lord of the Rings Trilogy? I’m genuinely asking if we might one day compare these sagas. Dune doesn’t have the #Oscars LOTR does, but that could change in one year. Either way, this generation has its trilogy

I tried to go full PvP last month. I lasted one night. NOT because of a "skill issue". It just goes against my internal compass. I always guide myself towards being the hero and not the villain in any experience. Let's be honest, if you're actively starting PvP engagements you're NOT the "hero" in a game of choice. Not in those moments anyhow. You chose violence when peace is always an option. In those PvP moments though, it's pure survival. And I get it. It's just not my style. You CAN play the game as just a game and be super PvP heavy - that's cool and I support that for you. When I play ARC Raiders I immerse myself into the experience as much as possible. When I'm in the game, I want to play and act like the human I am: friendly, supportive, and surviving. My games are so friendly I could bump into other raiders while looting and we'd both apologize. That's what the so called "carebear lobbies" are and I wouldn't change a thing. I still walk into every area with a healthy level of concern for other raiders, but it's quickly shifted to ARC 99% of the time. That 1% keeps my head on a swivel and my prox chat skills polished. It's no secret I love this game. Part of that love is knowing there are so many ways to play it and enjoy playing it.

@OlManMakowski Here’s the issue. The learning curve is typically one of the best parts of a new game. For Marathon it feels like genuine work. It’s not fun. It’s tedious and doesn’t feel rewarding. It has potential, but needs serious improvement in this area in order to be successful

Marathon didn’t stick right away for a lot of people that played Arc because there is depth, end game, etc. Once you start to figure out some of the intricacies the game becomes exponentially fun. If you’re able to get past the initial learning curve you’re in for a great game.

1. It's a free demo, people that have genuinely no interest in the genre still tried it because literally why not. 2. ITS A DEMO PAUL WHY WOULD THEY GRIND A DEMO (I'm going to because I want Arachne and Gantry to be proud of me but that's besides the point)

Aggression-based matchmaking in ARC Raiders uses long-term behavior rather than single actions to mix all playstyles into the same lobbies, avoiding strict splits. Additionally, end-of-game surveys are strictly for data collection and do not influence how players are matched.

@LancesEmporium Karen Queen of the HOAs is back. Totally, that’s why when Peanut finally streamed them it was fixed the next day. Just because smaller streamers did it too doesn’t make it any less valid. But no they are just lazy or don’t want to make the content YOU want them to. Foh bot

It seems some people, especially content creators are only trying to break the game and provoke glitches at this point. The amount of time, energy and thinking they put into it is mind boggling to me. Of course you can say, developers can make their code and their system more robust. And pointing out bugs and exploits is a good thing. But basically just doing it for some cheap clicks and giving people the "blueprint" to even do some gamebreaking stuff is just wrong. If you ask me, everyone who is showing off something like this on stream, in a video or whatever should get a temporary ban for it. Doesnt matter if he has 10 views or 100.000.

@LancesEmporium This either your first video game or you an actual AI. Streamers and CCs posting game breaking bugs/exploits does not destroy it. It brings awareness. You can call it clout chasing all you want but most of these have been in the game since release and devs finally starting to fix

What are your thoughts on the Aggression matchmaking in ARC Raiders? Are you for or against it? With Marathon confirming it won’t have this type of matchmaking, there been some interesting comments. I like the idea as it gives the player more freedom to play how they want 🤷‍♂️
