Stearns deserves blame we get it. But this isn’t all on him. Four prospects came up and we thought atleast two would be all stars. Alvarez, Vientos, Baty, Mauricio maybe. Not only are all 4 not all star caliber, all four might not be everyday players. Is that on him? Maybe. Should he have traded them? Maybe but for who? Semien - was taking a shot by getting rid of Ninmos contract. Maybe looks bad today but not that bad as Nimmo is still very average and he will only get worse with a disc issue that will never heal Alonso - I don’t see him doing anything in Baltimore that screams we made some massive mistake. And he is trending down the next few yrs if u like it or not. Diaz - chose to leave McNiel - lol Peralta - we r renting him. We r buying Skubal that’s been the plan. Stearns is rebuilding organizational depth The Mets system was thin outside a few top names. (Who as I said above are garbage) Stearns has focused heavily on player development, pitching depth, and improving the farm instead of just buying solutions. Stearns has made a ton of value signings. Some have worked. Many have not. Ez to say. Crotchett was a miss but about 5 other names Mets fans wanted hv been average at best Previous Mets regimes often operated emotionally or reactively. Stearns has brought a more analytical and balanced structure. I went through 40 years of reactive. I’ll willing to go through this process with the worlds sharpest hedge fund manager and a guy who built the Brewers with nothing. Stearns built a great pen last year till they alllll except Diaz got hurt. He then could hv overpaid for a ton of arms but he didn’t risk future prospects and bad contracts to band aid Stearns SHOULD HAVE added more impact offense sooner. The lineup still lacks consistent thump. Some fans wanted a bigger bat or more aggressive pursuit of star position players earlier. But who was that guy.? Schwarber was front and center he chose Philly Stearns’ philosophy is pretty clear: -sustainable contender -strong development pipeline -intelligent spending -avoid desperation moves It’s not working out right now, we r all frustrated but this is a typical NY city move to want to boot a GM like this. These things don’t happen overnight but it “has to” in a city that moves at warp speed pace. A NY team hasn’t won a championship in forever because all Ny teams r the same. They rush a process that can’t be rushed. Then even if u dnt rush it u still need lucky. (Injury luck too would help. Lindor and Soto have both been 100% in the field at the smear time once this year. Lindor hembone wasn’t going to full till June. Soto playing through. We get them healthy and catch some breaks. And maybe one of these now 7 prospects turns into an all star type. Roberts Bo maybe one can play at all star level? Hot pitching with young arms anything can happen. But now these next 30 days decide if they r sellers which maybe wont be the worst thing

John Sterling is just as woven into @Yankees history as any player to have put on the pinstripes. A legendary voice and a sense of creativity that knew no boundaries. An A-bomb from A-Rod. A text message from Teixeira. Bern baby Bern. RIP #johnsterling
