Let's see how that wish & fallacy sustains itself What we know is that Lukhona only has polarizing views. He will took over the podium and started the insult against the Councillors in the City of Johannesburg. He is likely going to match Helen Zille with politics of personalities & insults. 😌😌

The trick as a small party is to go for a strategy where you can get depending on the size of the ward several hundred seats in stronger areas not to go for ward. That’s how you can get PR seats. When I ran Mkhanyakude where the DA didn’t exist in the five municipalities I spent a lot of time dissecting the wards to get 50 here, 100 there, 200 there etc and we ended up with 6 PR councillors from zero. No presence to a presence in every municipality. When the odds are that stacked it becomes a numbers game and smart campaigning in the places you can target both. In Mtuba we even got two councillors from a base of nothing in the most rural KZN constituency and where the DA hadn’t existed in any election prior. It’s not impossible but it requires strategy, careful targeting and consistent engagement with constituents. The first one happened in 2015 after I had been elected in May 2014 and the helped to get the municipality dissolved. So 5 months can be a long time with the right strategy and RISE is starting with at least some name recognition in the area. Won’t be easy but doable. With the new structures amendment their fight is to get above the threshold should it get passed
