I wrote this early this morning and I wasn't sure if I would actually publish it, but here it is:

We have federally charged Chamel Abdulkarim, 29, of Highland, in connection with the massive blaze that destroyed a 1.2 million-square-foot warehouse in Ontario early Tuesday morning, causing damages estimated at over $500 million.
Abdulkarim filmed himself setting merchandise on fire inside the warehouse and made statements criticizing capitalism and large corporations. He also compared himself to accused murderer Luigi Mangione.
We will not tolerate political activists who resort to violence to advance their ideology.
He is charged with arson of a building used in interstate and foreign commerce and used in activities affecting interstate and foreign commerce.
This felony charge carries a five-year mandatory minimum prison sentence and a statutory maximum of 20 years in federal prison.

UBS Downgrades $NOW to Neutral from Buy, Lowers PT to $100 from $170; confidence that ServiceNow is “better positioned for this artificial intelligence era”
Analyst comments: "To date, our view has been that ServiceNow is better positioned for this artificial intelligence era relative to other application software firms, and hence it has been our only Buy-rated application software stock as we have been quite cautious on the broader group. Given that our confidence in that view has weakened and we are hearing more anecdotes of non-artificial-intelligence application software budget pressure, we are moving to a Neutral rating despite the material year-to-date de-rating in the stock to 15x 2026 free cash flow. We now also expect skinnier-than-normal beats in the coming quarters, more limited upside to the guidance for stable organic constant-currency subscription revenue growth of 19% in 2026, and we are trimming our current remaining performance obligation growth estimates to exit 2026 at 16% constant currency, down from our previous estimate of 20%."

Claude Opus 4.6:只取得了少量次要进展,在高难度任务上几乎一点用都没有。
他的结论:对于高难度的工程工作,两者差距非常残酷。GPT 5.4 明显更强,尤其在需要深度推理和长时程任务时。
原帖中还有对比图。

During the last week I executed very long autonomous sessions of Claude Code Opus 4.6 and Codex GPT 5.4 (both at max thinking budget), in cloned directories (refreshed every time one was behind). I burned a lot of (flat rate, my OSS free account + my PRO account) of tokens...

This is the case that 🇨🇳 MFA spokesperson Lin Jian (林剑) hinted at during the 🇨🇳 MFA press briefing on Mar 27.
On Mar 19, University of Michigan electrical and computer engineering assistant research scientist 🇨🇳 Danhao Wang (汪丹浩) jumped from the third floor and fell to the second floor inside the atrium in the UM George G. Brown Building at 2350 Hayward St in Ann Arbor. He was later pronounced dead on Mar 20 and police — first called about 11 pm Mar 19 — are investigating his death as a possible act of self-harm.
Wang was employed in the lab of Professor Zetian Mi (米泽田). The lab is known for its research into semiconductors, nanomaterials, and optoelectronics. A former research scientist at the lab, 🇨🇳 Wang Ding (王丁), left UMich and joined 🇨🇳 Peking University’s School of Physics as Assistant Professor in Mar 2025.
Chinese officials claimed that this happened after what they described as "hostile questioning" by federal law enforcement. How did they know it’s hostile? Were they there? Or did Wang or someone else call up the 🇨🇳 consulate in Chicago and report the questioning to officers there?
While Wang’s death is tragic and must be investigated, an equally important question is what Wang was questioned for — if a “hostile questioning” had indeed taken place as accused by Chinese officials… I believe federal law enforcement would have sufficient grounds of suspicion before they decided to take him in for questioning.
