@mikegatto I think our assertion of our branch of government’s rights made Jerry a great Governor during his last 2 terms. Jerry started treating the Legislature as a partner and together we accomplished a lot, which I attribute to our overrides.

@mikegatto During Jerry’s 2nd term, our Democratic Legislature set a record for overrides.I carried the last one on the floor while he was in Cleveland campaigning for President. He told me we didn’t have the right to override him while out of town. The clerk announced the vote. It was done

How do rebuild faith in government? Establish the strongest in the nation state ban on pay-to-play campaign contributions to local elected officials. SB 1439 is sitting on @GavinNewsom desk and prevents officials from accepting $250+ and than voting on most donor deals!
