The greatest mistake @Arsenal and @m8arteta will make is to underrate or go casually to play this Sporting CB side in their forthcoming Quarter Finals clash with the Portuguese side. What we saw this team demonstrate against Bodo/Glimt at home was a very intelligent, technically solid team, especially in the midfield and upfront. They played as if they already MAPPED OUT & CALCULATED every detail on the table off the field and then have the "scripts" in their heads that they were now executing in the field. And they were determined to prosecute "that" plan! Such team, if you give them any chances, or if you go casually to play them without being conscious of this meticulous planning and/or technical pragmatism/precision they can pose against you, you may slip up and before you know it's 1, 2 or more goals against you; the way they did to Bodo/Glimt. Also, if Arsenal manages & manoeuvres this Sporting team, responding accordingly to these underlying strengths & technical potential of theirs and win the Quarter Finals, then the task ahead will NOW really show what "technical substance" Mikel Arteta is truly made of. Will he make the same managerial mistakes, & display the same coaching naivety (esp in the set up of his midfield against very technically adept teams or sides) as he displayed against PSG in their Semi Final match last season? You have (potentially) Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG and/or Bayern Munich to play across the Semi finals/finals of this tourney. The psychological perception of English league superiority, the subtle fear/respect of Arsenal's perceived superiority this season in the domestic league & as leaders of the group stage of this tournament, WON'T BE THERE! This time, you'd be playing against elite managers and world class/technically clean players who will punish you in less than 20/30 minutes if you approach these games with average tactics (especially in setting up your midfield) and just using "motivation" and "determination" to play the games. These "coaches" (esp PSG's Louis Enrique, Barcelona's Hansi Flick & perhaps Kompany of Bayern) will EVEN look down psychologically on Arteta in terms of tactics, knowing/determining within them that they'd WIN it; just like Enrique/PSG approached the semi finals against us last season. Arteta has got to be absolutely and totally CONSCIOUS of all these "details" and program them into his tactical/strategic thinking and planning going into the coming UCL matches, if indeed he wants the chance at this historic title for Arsenal this season. From training, you have to identify those midfield lapses and weak areas in Zubimendi, Eze, Gyokeres, etc, and ensure they raise their performances/reactions with the ball to ABSOLUTELY WORLD CLASS LEVELS, before approaching these games and the games ahead. I wish you luck, Mikel; please do well to RAISE THE BAR (from your own thinking to the technical precision/delivery of your entire team), because it WON'T be easy; it WON'T be anything like what you've cruised through in the group or R16 stages of this tournament!

Aisha, if the ADC leadership ALLOW whatever forces within the FCT to go ahead & succeed with their obvious AGENDA to remove Senator Ireti or make her ineligible to stand for elections by next month, using whatever state institutions & forces to muzzle her out, then the entire Party/Leadership is not worth fighting for one bit. It means, quite OBVIOUSLY, that these same forces & so-called Abuja landlords, also have some "backdoor influence" inside the ADC! Don't let this happen; this will be a COMPLETE & TOTAL MESS of any shred of political credibility, dignity or discipline this Party ADC said it has; especially going into the elections!

May God deliver our nation and its democracy. This is beyond crazy! Even the "devil" sitting condemned in hell fire is more humane, more statemanly & more value-based than some people/humans who now control our institutions - and the online lapdogs who gleefully propagate their VERY EVIL & DESPICABLE agenda. That someone would even have the temerity, shameless, the utter & brazen [zero conscientiousness of the heart] to write all of this, then you know we are almost FINISHED as a nation. What is this FOR CHRIST SAKE; what in Christ name (Jesus Christ!) did you give us as a Party/Leaders (and even their online sounding gongs) to be among us in this nation at this time? This is so frighteningly sad!
Woye@woye1

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: A suspended member of a political party can’t participate in that political party’s Direct Primary or consensus and you can’t be voted for. 2: You can only participate, if the court sets aside the suspension. 3; You can’t force court to hear your case. Remember ooooo, April 23 to May 30, 2026. 4: primaries are for members only. 5: better resign before your party will submit digital membership registration to INEC so that you can participate in another party’s primary. 6: strong head no dey work for this Electoral act 2026 oooooo

Where's @ADCNig's Executives and Party management at the national level? You're watching APC & its ilk using the whatever 'loopholes' or 'character flaws' of some personalities at the FCT Wuse Ward level to cast aspersions and seek political mileage against your sitting Senator and you're keeping quiet. These things matter in politics o; and APC & Wike knows well how to use these things to fight his opponents - especially with shallow, bigoted & prejudiced Nigerians (a gamut of their followers & online hatchet men) who WILL use this to tarnish or try to dampen the image of the Senator; all seeking "political points/mileage"! The Cable is already a known online platform that's been "patronized" by the man in FCT/APC to publish things that furthers their ruinous political agenda against a person/party for a political end! @ADCNig Leadership, RISE UP and SUSPEND whoever this person is; let your opponent KNOW that there's NO leak (or weakness of this sort) in ADC they can exploit with their political chicanery to gain whatever leverage they're seeking for! Suspend such Ward Chair/Executive & make it very well PUBLIC for all to see! No nonsense or weakness here..going into this election!

48 hours after suspension, ADC ward files suit to stop Ireti Kingibe from parading herself as member The Wuse ward executive committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has filed a suit at the federal high court in Abuja seeking an order to stop Ireti Kingibe, senator representing the FCT, from parading herself as a member. The suit was filed 48 hours after the senator was placed on indefinite suspension by the ward executive committee over alleged anti-party activities, insubordination, and violation of party rules. thecable.ng/48-hours-after…

I run @ApnetConsultNg with a long-term vision to build an elite management consulting/professional services brand in the scale of PwC, KMPG; modeling the big4s & big 6 Audit/mgt consulting firms with the high standards, brand reputation & pervasive presence all across the world. One of the things I tell potential new hires, including experienced partners I try to persuade to join the vision, is to point them to some of these guys (the Olusegun Agangas, Okechukwu Onelemas, Omobola Johnsons, Kemi Adeosuns of this world...& now Taiwo Oyedele) who built solid industry/sectoral expertise as top consultants with these big 4s/6s & they inevitably (were poached) to became Ministers leading executive roles in different Presidential administrations in Nigeria. I usually add NOI, aunty Oby et al; cause the WB/IMF basically have those same "standards" as these big 4s/6s; most of their strategic, operational or policy work is usually handled by these consulting firms. So, basically, there isn't any secret to this 'blueprint' as it were. Build solid (consulting) expertise and reputation; rise & rise in the rank to become a sectorial/industry leader (senior or regional partner of some sort) in your core area(s) of expertise. Expand your influence & project your obvious deep expertise in your space; media visibility, business roundtables, conference keynotes, policy committees voluntership and all, articles, publications, global positioning (in your core area); you'd definitely be noticed at THAT level. Also, build relationships with the boss bosses/private sector players; which is easy if [through your work in your firm] you've served the biggest private sector players (in our case the Dangotes, BUAs, Elumelus, etc, of this world). Sectorial billionaires & big public sector players/politicians in ANY country have some TIED relationship; covertly or overtly. This gives you mileage & leverage (read recommendations). If you watched the man Taiwo Oyedele's fiftieth birthday celebration, you saw surprising appearances like Dangote, TOE (I think) & others; you'd think, "How's this small man able to pull these people into his birthday party celebration?". Well, I've just given you a snapshot answer with this piece! End.
Oreoluwa Bukola, CFA.@BukkyOA

Taiwo Oyedele! Whoever has his blueprint, please share for those of us at the back. Don’t be stingy.

Give Emmanuel Amuneke that job! That guy proved with Tanzania and the Nigerian golden eaglets (that won the U17 World Cup with Osimhen) that he's a great coach. NFF has just refused to trust him with the job perhaps because he doesn't easily capitulate or play ball like that. Even during the Finidi George's job interview batch, Amunike submitted his CV too. Nigerians were very surprised that they bypassed Amunike and gave it to Finidi George who had no credentials at that level.

Today, I left all to join concerned Nigerians and the collective group of political opposition to express our absolute contempt and total rejection of the contrived discretionary clauses being smuggled in by the Nigerian Senate to allow for continuous desecration of our electoral process like they've done in the past. Together with notable Nigerians like former governor of Rivers State and Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi (who left earlier), former Minister of Youths, Comrade Solomon Lalung, Aisha Yusuf and many others, I joined them at the Nigerian NASS Gate to strongly speak against these 'criminal act' to deprive Nigerians again of an electoral process that inspires confidence and presents the chance for them to elect political office holders of their own choice. The Nigerian political class, especially this special sect called the APC, have taken and benefited so immensely from this country Nigeria and Nigerians; without really giving back even a quarter (in real, credible transformational policies and people-centered laws) of what this country has given to them. Mandatory electronic voting, which the 2022 Electoral Act had clearly anticipated and stated (although that particular clause was unfortunately later simplistically interpreted by our also troubled legal system), is expected to be IMPROVED upon and elevated to meet the needs of majority of Nigerians and Nigeria. Not to be "compromised" and loopholes created for the continuous political criminality and election rascality by especially the APC to continue. We are therefore collectively mandating the Nigerian Senate, whatever they feel they've just passed, that such an 'addition' to that clause or section of the law is NOT and will NOT be acceptable! Electronic transmission of results should be made compulsory; that's what the 2022 Electoral Act is and was meant to communicate. This standard is practiced all across the world: Americans know who their President is from results flowing in that same night to early the next morning, south African votes and results trickle electronically that same election day and results across the country are in no time known by all. Make no mistake, these protests will continue and most certainly escalate across the country if the Nigerian Senate, or the Conference community set up, do not revert to the House of Representatives' version and ensure electronic transmission of results are made MANDATORY with no additional (criminal) clauses or phrases added. Nigerians don't want our Electoral Law empowering or legitimizing the fake and manipulated form EC8As which are manufactured by these same set of politicians and their cronies under very egregious circumstances and means to rig elections at the collation centres; giving spurious numbers and (manufactured) victories to people who the people/Nigerians had blatantly rejected at the Polling Units in the ACTUAL election exercise! Since 2010, for a good part of my years in this FCT, Abuja, I've stood on the side of Nigerians and for the all-round socioeconomic, sociocultural and sociopolitical transcendence of our beloved Nigeria. From critical policy advocacies, credible civil society groups for better deals for Nigerians, actual development project work to strengthen our institutions and safeguard critical resources, to outright political participation across different credible alternative political parties, I've done and will continue especially now to do for the future of our country. Therefore, we will NOT relent; we will, all across the country in the days ahead, ensure that the sanctity of our electoral system and law(s), especially as it concerns this Clause on mandatory real-time e-transmission of our results, is MAINTAINED and MANDATED!
