@RealMattA_ There is a difference between being nice and being polite. Many Canadians may be polite to your face but they are judging you and talking about you behind your back if you do anything they don't like. They also have a false sense of moral superiority that justifies this behaviour

Canadians need to stop hanging on to outdated Canadian stereotypes. Canadians aren't 'nice'. They rat each other out on government snitch lines. They can't think for themselves. They digest groupthink and adopt herd mentality, casting off those who think differently. Intolerance is a Canadian virtue, but they won't admit it. Face reality. Do better.

@TRHLofficial I endured 42 hours of back labour before epidural because i was physically weak from the pain and had not slept during that time. It was either epidural or c-section. My second natural delivery was easier and required less strength physically and mentally

As a mother who has had three unmedicated births, I disagree with this opinion. Epidural or not, the risks of childbirth remain. No one is “less of a mother” for choosing to go through it numb.

@tautolog @TheLaurenChen Most Canadians have stories of the failures of socialized healthcare system. I would rather pay for treatment than die on a waiting list. There are systems that allow public and private healthcare. The 🇨🇦 system is broken, ignoring that because of a word choice is ridiculous

@realitybytes61 @TheLaurenChen I’m American, I’m more so commiserating about how terrible our system is here rather than dogging on Canada’s.

The federal government has been relentlessly focused on keeping Canadians safe. Bill C-14’s stricter bail laws and tougher sentencing laws will help do just that – providing serious consequences for serious offences. Changes to bail and sentencing come into effect today.

@realitybytes61 @TheLaurenChen In the US, you also wait 12+ hours for treatment, wait several months for specialist/follow-up appointments, AND go into generational debt if you have anything serious happen to you!

@tautolog @TheLaurenChen Are you saying that rarely happens in Canada or Mexico? In Canada that is reality for most people. Extremely long wait times in the ER and to see specialists is the norm. 6 million Canadians don't have access to a primary care physician. I would not call that universal healthcare
