Activision has legally demanded that I stop leaking and disseminating confidential information related to Call of Duty/Activision and I am complying with their demands. Activision released an update for Call of Duty: Black Ops on PS4 & PS5 last night to begin addressing the XP exploits
The “fix” was literally if (value > 500) value = 500; Inside _rank.gsc 😭. They need to make it so it no longer reads dvars from save files. There is so much you can do with dvars beyond XP and the fact it took the script kiddies this long to figure out how to set a stat directly instead of raising XP limits is beyond hilarious. 💀
XP lobbies on Black Ops 1 Port have now been capped at 500xp with the latest playlist update.
📢 Call of Duty: #BlackOps on PS4/PS5 The first phase of a fix to address an issue impacting player XP has been deployed. • Playlists have been updated with a server-side fix. • Players with negative XP have been reset to Level 20 so they can begin progressing again. Additional mitigations will continue to roll out in future updates to further reduce these issues.
