I actually tried watching the Bleach anime first a few months ago but stopped after 2 episodes after I heard about its MANY changes. The way it changes your perception is crazy. The anime didn't make me care about Orihime that much. The manga made me love her.

It had better animation, gave Ulquiorra more depth in that his reason for being, Ichigo's despair knowing all his efforts amounted to nothing, better stakes and the culmination of it all which was Vasto Lorde and what it represented
