@Glyph_3D i usually just default to vertex groups, but for a rig that isnt meant to be ported out of blender, i suppose that would be a good option. Thanks for the feedback and the support!

@realrynfox vertices/armature modifiers, it creates a ton of unnecessary lag when posing, had it been rigged through object parenting, this wouldn't be an issue + simplifying/lowering the mesh res probably wouldn't need to be done. gotta give it an 8 though, still a very great model.

@Andre3wDud3 I don't really think too much about the time period, since robots of today still kinda walk goofy. In the time period accurate to FNaF, they just would be simple machines bolted down onto the stage

@henningsanden For me, texturing big assets is by far the most difficult topic. For custom texturing with a few optimization tricks there's so much info out there, but things get so much more difficult when you scale things up and still want to keep a nice detail level and target texel density
