@elsaleasing @centered_app 🙏 thanks haven't heard of centered, I'll check it out. Notion lists are the only thing that can do exactly what I want right now in terms of layout/nesting — but Notion just feels super heavy on mobile so I avoid it

@realstevehere Never used Things but have tried a ton of other apps and abandoned them. Only ones that stuck is @centered_app for daily stuff, and then Notion for lists and Google Cal for appointments + meetings

Everytime I try to use Things to organize my life it feels frustratingly brittle and I give up and go back to Apple Reminders. Why do people think its such a fantastic product?

not being selfish/ungrateful for the many things I do have just frustrated that I cannot Do The MOST Possible Good, because tiny monkey brain gets preoccupied addressing base needs

I know from experience that if I just had a reliable source of gentleness/affection in my life I'd be an unstoppable force I could do more good, more effectively until then I'm redlining an engine that has plenty of gas and oil, but no coolant

most frustrating thing ever is being in a position of immense opportunity and knowing that 1 thing is key to supercharging that energy — but that 1 thing is't possible to reliably obtain.... but is also a fundamental need?

Easy to carry on when, in spite of the unrelenting sun, life persists above and below

I find the desolation, simplicity and expansiveness of the desert deeply comforting
