🔴 PEOPLE WIN, THUGS LOSE: HIGH COURT 🔴 The SA Human Rights Commission has successfully defended residents of the Chief Albert Luthuli Informal Settlement who suffered apartheid-style demolitions and vandalism at the hands of the Ekurhuleni Metro. Nkosiphile Xhakaza has been ordered by the High Court to provide housing to the affected residents by 30 June. Those who lost their homes are now well placed to sue the City of Ekurhuleni for their losses. The court found that their Constitutional rights were violated. They should pursue Constitutional damages.

A few days ago, I asked a member of the @CAF_Online Exco why he thinks Patrice Motsepe has been reluctant to sit down with me for an interview. This is what he told me: “Motsepe, on a personal level, is a nice person. But he doesn’t have a good grasp of the day-to-day issues in CAF. I think he feels that if he sits down with you for an interview, you could put him in a tight corner, when you put some questions to him. He is trying to avoid that.” Hmmm…
