Former CIA Director Mike Pompeo names Halliburton as one of the US corporations poised to enter Venezuela and "support" the people there by extracting their oil.
The planned takeover is described as an effort to impose a “capitalist model” on Venezuela.
In 2003, Halliburton was awarded a $7 billion no-bid contract to carry out a similar task in Iraq – a sweetheart deal likely facilitated by Dick Cheney, who ran the company until he became Vice President.
As the the lives of 1,000,000+ Iraqis and thousands of US troops were being claimed in a US war of choice launched on false pretenses, Halliburton quickly set to work defrauding American taxpayers.
Within 2 years, Pentagon auditors found the company tried to pass off over $1.4 billion in "questioned" and "unsupported" charges onto the US government.
The most vocal neocons may be gone from the Trump administration, but the game remains the same: massive profits for the chosen few, and endless resource wars for everyone else.

The United States is the only country in the world whose official government strategy is to control the entire world. This is confirmed by dozens of state documents and policy papers.
This is why America has 800 military bases across 80 different countries. It's why America has been at war for 90% of its existence (225 years out of 249). There is simply no comparison between this and Russia and China. The American Empire is a uniquely domineering power on the global stage.

Yeah, I messed up on this one. And I’m sorry. I was trying to raise awareness about foreign adversaries creating chaos online - which is undermining democracy everywhere. But what I said was easily misunderstood, and the way I said it was flat-out insensitive. Babies are dying every day in Gaza. Nobody should dispute that fact or make light of it in any way. To the people living in fear and burying family members every day, of all ages — I apologize.
