I'm 63% into Stoner and man......this is hard. Unrelenting anguish and pain and setbacks. I wouldn't have thought the story of a professor's life could feel as tragic and filled with grandeur as Steinbeck's sweeping Grapes of Wrath, but it does. But I will say the prose is so spectacular, so well-written, has such clarity and power, that I'm determined to push through the bleakness and finish it.

Regarding the OpenAI case, the judge & jury never actually ruled on the merits of the case, just on a calendar technicality.
There is no question to anyone following the case in detail that Altman & Brockman did in fact enrich themselves by stealing a charity. The only question is WHEN they did it!
I will be filing an appeal with the Ninth Circuit, because creating a precedent to loot charities is incredibly destructive to charitable giving in America.
