@LTA_Craft @MountainGenera Compare minecraft to other sandbox-survival games like Zomboid, Vintage Story, or even games with lighter survival elements like 7 days to die. the survival bits in minecraft becomes irrelevant within the first couple hours, versus being the core driver to these other titles.

@LTA_Craft @MountainGenera what exactly are you surviving against in minecraft? nothing poses a long term active threat to the player. If there were more creeper style mobs or prevalent/persistent environmental dangers, I could see your point. but A basic house and a farm nullifies nearly every threat.

@LTA_Craft @MountainGenera They're added to increase friction and add additional challenge in building, exploration, and resource gathering. They're clearly not meant to provide the player with a in-depth or difficult survival oriented experience.
