Alan Ford as Brick Top in Snatch (2000) is so vile he’s weirdly magnetic. Every line lands with menace and dark humor, and Guy Ritchie said Ford had the whole set on edge even when cameras weren’t rolling.

Brad Pitt asked Guy Ritchie if there was a role in his next film. Ritchie said yes, then realized it didn’t exist. He rewrote Snatch (2000) for Pitt, creating Mickey O’Neil & using a thick, unsubtitled Irish Traveller accent that made the character iconic.
