A major milestones in the digitization of the Archive has just have passed. Our entire collection of 2,300 BBC Choral Evensong broadcasts now have the individual broadcast tracks catalogued into the database and these are fully searchable by composer or title.

Andrew Millington will give an Organ Recital next Sunday (2 Nov) at 4.00pm in St Leonard's Church, Newland, Malvern. Andrew had his first organ lessons at Malvern Priory and spent many an hour practising on the organ at St Leonard`s, as he lived nearby. Welcome back, Andrew!

@Delverie @kev_tape Yes indeed, same applies to cassettes

@recordedcm @kev_tape You probably know this … but just in case. Assuming the tapes don’t need (or have had) a bake, winding the tape once each way will noticeably reduce print-through. We were told this by 3M years ago and it certainly worked for me with my digitising. Also tests any splices.

Just collected these rare & historically invaluable privately recorded tapes of Ely Cathedral in the early 1960s, directed by Arthur Wills. Mainly weekday Evensongs. Exceptional singing, exceptional soloists, & exceptional sound quality. Now we begin the digitisation process!
