@recoveryaware

Never doubt your worth. You mean so much to people, even in ways you never realize. Even your smallest actions can do so much for others.

If you’ve survived your suicidal thoughts/suicide attempts, I am proud of you. If you’ve made a milestone in being clean, I am proud you. If you’ve relapsed, I’m still proud of you. If you’re still struggling this very moment with your mental health, I am still so proud of you.

And it’s always those with power who decide which stories are safe to tell. That kind of control doesn’t just erase the truth — it retraumatizes everyone still waiting for accountability.

There’s something deeply disturbing about how silence is bought at the highest levels. Survivors are expected to carry the weight of their trauma, while the names of those who inflicted it get buried — redacted, hidden, forgotten.

People who are always there for others usually forget how to be there for themselves. And sometimes it takes completely falling apart to realize you were never okay in the first place. But the moment you start choosing you — that’s when it slowly starts to feel like healing.

What really sucks is when you know you should be doing something but physically cannot bring yourself to do it no matter how important doing that thing is.

You deserve to be loved without having to hide the parts of yourself that you think are unlovable.

Some of you are unaware of just how amazing you really are. The way you make people laugh, lift others up, or spread some extra love. You do this even if you are struggling too, and I think it makes you such a fucking beautiful human being.

@sleppymooncake That’s no problem at all, I’m going through the same thing, so I’d thought I would write about it, because I thought other people would probably be having or have had the same experience in life.

People will come and go from your life, sometimes with no clear reason. It’s not your fault nor theirs. You just drift apart and outgrow the friendship you once had. It’s so sad to see it go, but know that there will be others to look forward to.

I think I hide it pretty well. I think I make them all believe I am alright because I am functioning, but I don’t feel functional and when they ask if I’m okay, I’ll be honest. I’ll be honest but they won’t listen because no one truly wants to know.

Anyone else really scared of the dentist and suffer from severe anxiety but in reality you really do need to go for a check up because you have an issue, and if you leave it any longer it will just get worse, if so, what was the best way you’d overcome it and go?

UK Followers, if I call up the psych ward my friend is in? and ask if my friend is a patient there, are they allowed to tell me she’s a patient there? Or is it normal for them to deny she’s a patient there?
