@reda_ek this jam. Once you have the manual out, please use one hand on the lever and one hand on the bottom of the seat. Try squeezing the lever and pushing the seat towards the lie flat position. Then try to pull the lever and use both hands to push it up right. This should resolve 2/3

@jburnmurdoch @FinancialTimes lesson learnt: I'd move the credits inside the chart (bottom right, just above the x-axis)

Love to have credit to my work and @FinancialTimes cropped out by a Nobel prize winning economist.
I think in economics they call this the free rider problem.

America's response to the coronavirus is the worst in the world, which is shocking and has a lot to do with a leader who is completely unfit, temperamentally and intellectually, for the job 1/

@KateSmi99596063 @GrindingNumbers @jburnmurdoch There is evidence that they are underestimating deaths (not intentionally of course): corriere.it/politica/20_ma…

English

@reda_ek @jburnmurdoch You can prob find those figures via ONS website. Would be interesting. I read somewhere 600,000 die annually in UK, so would expect 50K+ in March.
Would also be interesting to know how many people dying of covid would have probably lived more than a year more.
English

NEW: Sunday 22 March update of our coronavirus mortality trajectories tracker
• US has recorded 100 deaths *so far* since Saturday — already its highest daily total
• UK & US well beyond death tolls when many countries locked down

@jburnmurdoch This is a great chart. Can you add the average temperature & humidity in the last month pls?
English

And here’s our chart showing case trajectories in countries whose outbreaks began more recently. We now have more than 30 countries with three-digit case counts, and some curves are alarmingly steep
Live versions of all charts here: ft.com/content/a26fbf…

English

@jburnmurdoch The real count would be the average recorded deaths in the month of March in the last 5 years vs March 2020 (normalised for changes in the population)
English

@jburnmurdoch and I failed to see how different methodologies can generate different growth rates. I.e. the growth rate should be comparable even if the absolute numbers are not
English

@jburnmurdoch Re: large elderly population raises death rate in Italy. Is this factually confirmed or speculation? They might not be testing a large sample of people with the virus
English

NEW: our biggest update yet of the coronavirus mortality and case trajectory trackers
• US added more cases and deaths yesterday than on any day so far 🇺🇸
• We also introduce some brand new charts tracking smaller countries 🇵🇹🇮🇪🇵🇱
