They were disabled as well. They had diagnoses and accommodations. I just didn’t fit their idea of it I guess.

My ex-roomie used to tell everyone I was lazy because if they could “push through it” I should be able to too. (And this was just when I used to be like “hey I’ll take the trash out in an hour when I’ve rested” but they decided that wasn’t me trying enough). Ableism is everywhere

If someone is overdosing don’t tell 911 that til they get there. Tell them they stopped breathing. Sometimes, esp in Black & Brown & homelessness areas, they’re less likely to come for ODs, but are required to come for respiratory arrest.
