This morning on the Lakeshore Path a fellow runner, with much enthusiasm, stopped me to point out the catfish. Not only were his screams of shock delightful, but his observation was spot on - there really were some big mother f-ers swimming around down there.

I accidentally kicked a rat for the second time in my life. The first rat was swiftly carried away by a seagull after I kicked it. The second one just ran away. At least this time I wasn't wearing sandals.
