Clinton Boyles shows very little rust in the Heidbreder Motorsports No. 19, leading the first 16 tonight, but Xavier Doney and the Doney-Lawson No. 74 mounted a late effort for the lead and captured the victory.

Xavier Doney wins the Bill Utz Memorial! Clinton Boyles hangs on for second, and Kameron Key rounds out the podium.

Boyles fading just a bit. Key is closing in. The white flag is waving.

Boyles to the bottom to try to clear slower traffic and can’t make the pass. Doney capitalizes and moves by for the point on lap 16. Four to go.

Still about 12 car lengths between Boyles and Doney and another 15 back to Key in third. Six laps remain.

Boyles working through traffic with surgical precision. Doney still in contention and is better in clean air but Boyles appears to be better in traffic.

Doney is slowly reeling in Boyles. 19 is reaching slower traffic, which begins with Xavier’s sister Natalie. 11 to go.

Doney with a strong restart on the top and passes Key for second. Boyles again establishes a healthy gap behind him.

John Barnard emerges from the infield and is pushed back to life. Choose cone is out. Boyles to the top, Key to the bottom. Montgomery and Doney behind them. 16 to go on the restart.

Bill Utz Memorial at Missouri State Fair Speedway is GREEN. Boyles leads them into one.

Kreisel re-fires and tags tail. Key and Boyles will bring us to the green.

I’m not super familiar with POWRi rules, but we’re told that Kreisel will get 60 seconds in the work area before the green.

Control lights are dark at Sedalia, but the yellows come back on for Riley Kreisel stopping in turn two. Lot of pace laps before we get underway… we’re already on fuel watch.

Rayhall stopping to point out some debris on the surface in turn 3. He’ll retain his sixth starting spot. Jones, however, will head to the rear.

Before the green, Kyle Jones into the infield work area, and Sean Rayhall coming to a stop on the front straightaway.

The Historic Half-Mile not quite ready for racing yet. Pacing a couple more laps on the top after the rework to roll in the moisture.
