@RBReich What is even more frightening is the attack that happened to Sotomayor. What happens this close to election and the Maga Republicans in Congress? So if the 3 good judges are harmed, there are serious worries. I agree this is a key piece to the growth of our nation.

Can we stop pretending it's radical to expand the Supreme Court? What's radical is enabling justices — appointed by presidents who lost the popular vote — to gut reproductive freedom, legalize bribery, curtail regulations that protect us, and give presidents the power of kings.

Confessions of a MAGA kid. It’s long but I know I’m not alone here. My dad is under educated but extremely smart. My mom is highly educated but naive. When they both fell into MAGA the family thought it was a phase but they haven’t let up. When they got covid they took hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin. It was then we knew we lost them but here’s the kicker. My mom steers the ship, always has, and my dad followed her right off the crazy train cliff. Not once did they see it was MAGA that was destroying our family. Not once did they step back and say “maybe we’re the problem”. Instead the two of them became martyrs for MAGA. I’ve lost all respect for my parents but I still love them dearly. I dream of the day one of them wakes up and realizes they’ve been worshiping at an alter built with hate and ignorance. Until then, I’m left self orphaning myself because I can’t live in a world where they dive into delusion and everyone just has to accept it. MAGA proclaims to be the party of “real American family values” but all it does is rip families to shreds. My story isn’t unique and if you’re in this hellscape of a boat too, you’re not alone. Fuck you @realDonaldTrump

@theflycatcher81 @TraceyR64968698 We did this for my paternal grandfather and grandmother and several uncles on my father's side. I never knew this activity was prevalent in other areas. My father's family has Irish and Welsh roots but they were all in North Carolina.

@TraceyR64968698 Here in Ireland we bring our deceased loved ones back to the family home to be waked. They remain there for 2 nights until he morning of the funeral. Family and friends visit the home constantly.

Hey here's an unpopular opinion that might get me cancelled. I love Critical Role but can't stand their fans. There I said it. I can't watch it on Twitch because chat is UNBEARABLE. Also I wish they would just leave the content creators alone.
