I often use this account to post lists of books challenged or removed from schools. Today I want to show you a different type of book list. This is Question 3 from last year’s AP Literature exam, with a list of suggested texts to help answer that question.

@frankstrong the character is an underdog, or faces suffering - mostly women and/or minorities are represented. So if the question is draw parallels for diff types of hardships, and learning to overcome, and you can't read about real-life problems because they are all banned... then??

Take a second to look at this list and think about it in the context of the current book-banning frenzy. What do you notice?

Sadly, we didn't get enough people to understand the importance of a collaborative effort in time. Voters did send a message that we will support candidates from different backgrounds, experiences, & political affiliations as long as they have the knowledge & commitment to serve.
