DISASTER RESPONSE MAT SU: The Red Cross is responding to multiple emergencies in the Mat-Su Valley. A shelter will open at 10:00 p.m. tonight at the Glenn Massay Theater (8295 E College Dr, Palmer, AK 99645). Anyone impacted who needs assistance can call 1-800-RED CROSS.

The remnants of Typhoon Halong is battering the western coast of Alaska. High winds, storm surges, and flooding are being reported across hundreds of miles of coastline. During the storm, it is important to follow evacuation orders and guidance from local emergency officials.

An ERV was on the move last week to its new home at our office in Kenai! Special thanks to all the volunteers in Kenai who not only helped with the relocation, but also spent time reorganizing supplies to make sure the Red Cross is always ready for any disaster.
