@Adroit_Cadet my hatred for Amorim is genuinely unhealthy, I hope he fails at everything he does for the rest of his life

@olivyrr and now Amorim himself is acting like a pussy and can't even get his own players to perform. Karma for him and everybody that backed his dumb ass decisions

This was such a cheap shot at a player you’re supposed to protect. And by doing it publicly, Amorim painted a target on Rashford’s back. Made him open season for the media to tear apart. They tried to wreck his career off the back of this moment. It was lazy and it was weak.

Eddie Howe been let down by his board. Better players and he’s 3-0 up and the games done by half time. You can’t be going into the UCL with Gordon, Barnes, Elanga, Burn.

Rashford 31 next year and is still running head down into his fullback and an active liability for his team to be countered. All 4 of Newcastle’s big chances have directly come from his side or loss of possession. But but his story man.

Very soon, they’ll tell you Mbuemo and Cunha are not good/hardworking enough that’s why we are not scoring goals and winning games.

Rashford being the main scapegoat and being banished was the first sign. Shouldn't have taken this long for the alarm bells to ring.

@excellente_6 he's an underrated passer/crosser. I think Ten Hag put too many of this eggs into the Garnacho/Hojlund basket and as a result Rashford was sidelined as a touchline player. Probably one of the many reasons the Ten Hag reign couldn't last

He’s top 3-5 inside attackers in the world, makes no sense why he has decided that he wants to play on the touchline. Part of this touchline gimmick has a bit to do with him being shy, hopefully by the time he comes out of his shell it’s not too late for him here.

@tactixology I don't even think Amorim himself likes central progression. Seems to prefer switches + interplay and progression on the either flanks

If Amorim could sustain the physicality edge, add central progression, work on territory gain and resolve the 5-2-3 block, we would be strong top 4 candidates. But the first is highly unlikely and the rest he seems unwilling to do. And since it was decided not to rebuild the midfield, for some of those it’s unwilling and unable. Therein lies the problem for United this season - we’ve seen against Burnley what happens when players tire and opponents adjust. Not much was left.

@AbdelBeheri The idea that we should have beaten Grimsby without a coach isalsoelated to the similarly idiotic takes such as: players are lazy, downing tools, and only turn up when they want to. some "fans" have no idea how setups, assigned roles, and unironically, vibes matter.

I’m sorry, but the idea that United should automatically beat a fourth-division side regardless of system or tactics is complete nonsense. I’ve always maintained that a manager’s positive influence is often overstated, but their negative impact can be huge. Many studies support this: A poor setup has a greater impact on a good team than a good one. A bad manager can make a decent side look like a Sunday league team, whereas a good manager simply reflects the quality of the squad he has. If that good manager also happens to be an elite man-manager, he can get the team to punch above their weight—but not by much. For example, in 2019/20 and 2020/21, United punched above their weight instead of 6th and 4th, they achieved 3rd and 2nd. Similarly, in 2018/19, they rose from 6th to 2nd—thanks largely to De Gea’s incredible form. Against Grimsby, Man United’s weaknesses were exposed because they are glaring and obvious. Grimsby had one crucial advantage on the day: they were a collective unit. United, meanwhile, fielded XI talented individuals who lacked belief in the setup, and had no clarity about their roles. I remember when United faced Rochdale in 2019. Everyone knew our Achilles’ heel—breaking down a deep, stubborn low block. Rochdale defended with 10 men behind the ball, and as United grew frustrated and committed more players forward, Rochdale hit on the counter. The game finished 1–1, and United only advanced on penalties. Yesterday’s side was far more talented than that 2019 team, but the principle remains the same. The talent gap can close dramatically when one team is maximized despite modest quality, while the other is minimized and even sabotaged by poor principles and a lack of belief.

@Moon_AGD A previous fraud once said that the club needs an open-heart surgery and since then, the fanbase keeps using that excuse to abuse our players. Not long before Cunha and Mbuemo will face the same fate as Rashford and Garnacho.

Rough first half but I thought it was pretty obvious who was most at fault for being 2-0 down at halftime, but let’s put it to a poll More at fault for the first half disaster?
