It's time for the most important DAO experiment in recent cycles - The first Jupuary vote will officially kickoff on Nov 25th, and run for 4 days. 70% Approval Needed Because we need the entire Jupiter to unify behind the crucial plan, we will be looking for a 70% approval for this to pass, ensuring that any decision needs to be approved by the super majority. Besides the usual channels, we will also have an anon feedback form on the vote site, where voters can submit their feedback (optional to link to wallet). If the vote does not passes, we will revise the plan based on the feedback and what we think is a good way forward - and put it for a new vote. Remember, the most important thing here in the vote is NOT whether it passes or fails, but that we come together to collectively iterate towards a plan that the supermajority can unite behind. First Vote Because this is the first vote, i am keeping it as simple and close to the baseline as possible - approval for 2 additional Jupuaries of 700M JUP with no lock and the goal of designing it to be as broadly inclusive as possible. The first Jupuary will be designed to be as inclusive as possible for all segments of the community, expand the DAO significantly and put us in a very good shape immediately after Catstanbul 2025 to kick off the new year. There are a number of key concerns, namely around the size of drop, the lack of a lock (especially in contrast with ASR) and the actual distribution. I have addressed these points before, but I will discuss them again in follow up spaces after the vote starts. There is no right or wrong here - everyone should vote according to what they feel, and we will adapt based on the voting results and feedback, as a community. You Matter It is my sincere belief that if we are able to complete this in a united way, we can make JUP, Jupiverse and Jupiter far bigger, comprehensive and valuable than before. It would of course, have been far easier for us to do this the usual way (unilaterally or to give to insiders) - but we believe this is a far better approach in the long run. 2022: All the ETH maxi laughed at me when I switched to Solana, which was clearly an underdog with no significant capital investment from whales, apart from early VC. 2023: All the SOL supporters hated me because I heavily invested in Ordinals. Everyone started tagging me: "HGE is chasing hype." Perhaps there is a pattern here. Be open-minded and try new things. Solana has become a retail powerhouse with many successful protocols. Ordinals have become the go-to blockchain for art and collectibles.

In the last cycle, I accumulated 15M worth of SOL between $8-$23. I planned to hold it until SOL flips BNB, as I believe the best L1 story is better than a CEX story. It was very close when SOL reached $250. I didn't sell. Then FTX happened. FTX still holds 90% of my SOL. FML.
