@beesley_cathy Any opportunity for a failed Tory to thrust their name back into the headlines. Shameless opportunism from Torygraphers!

@MoneySavingExp Have you looked up the responsibilities of a parent? It’s your job to give her the best, not charge her for it! Ye Gods, give me strength!

Hi all, Our new Assistant Head in Charge of Behaviour Policy, Mr Johnson, has asked you not to send children to him if they are misbehaving or not following our high expectations. He is only responsible for the behaviour policy, not behaviour. You’re on your own there. Thanks x

@EdwardLeighGB How about Labour undoing all the harm that you did to schools through the hateful Ofsted regime you established? As a constituent, Head and supporter of yours, I can speak first hand of the damage done to education by them. Stop politicising children!

Conservatives must commit now to un-doing all the harmful changes Labour will make to education. Parents need a full range of schools to choose from, reflecting the range of individuality in children. Choice drives up standards and improves children's life outcomes.

Here’s a photo of my car dashboard. It’s -3 degrees at 8,30 am I am thinking of all those poorer pensioners who have lost their winter fuel allowance this year. It was a v bad decision and ought to be reversed immediately.

@Malcolm_Sillick @RupertLowe10 Your post is factually incorrect and semi-literate. Your punctuation is appalling. Children aren't taught rubbish in schools, far from it. Children are taught how to think for themselves, thankfully; otherwise, they might end up like you.

@RupertLowe10 I've got 3 young grandchildren. Clearly, I will tell them that this sort of rubbish that they might get told in school, should be ignored. But, how much help is it to a childs education, that they have to be told, that some of what they are getting taught, is just nonsense!

The Telegraph reports that the curriculum will be overhauled by Labour in order to reflect the “diversities of our society” and produce young people who “appreciate the diversity” of Britain. It is genuinely sickening. I am furious typing this. How dare they? This is a deliberate attempt to indoctrinate young British boys and girls with the woke poison that has infected society. It's already seeping into the school system, but this will vastly accelerate that process. This is going to get incredibly unpleasant if Labour attempt to force these plans through - do they think parents will accept it? Children do NOT need to be taught about the importance of diversity. Young white boys and girls are already being excluded and discriminated for the colour of their skin. Should they be made to feel even more guilty? We've already seen the venomous gender ideology spread unchecked within schools, with catastrophic results. Evidently, we have learnt nothing. Labour should understand that these plans will not go through without a bitter fight. They want to produce young people who “appreciate the diversity” of Britain. What a chilling sentence that is - we are moving towards a very scary place indeed. Teach children HOW to think, not WHAT to think. We need to draw a deep line in the sand on this.

At Old Trafford. Bournemouth - decent side good manager but hard to feel excited by a club with a third tier level of support - subsidised by the TV money Man United bring to PL. We've basically paid for half their squad

@sarajcox Christmas is a hectic family time, full of noise, laughter and love. Boxing Day I buy everyone in the house a proper book, and we all sit and read for half an hour, only I never seem to manage it. I’d settle for Five Minutes Peace, by Jill Murphy, with a glass of red! Cheers!
