@jonswaner In 1958, Dale Long (not me) was the first left-handed catcher in the major leagues since 1902. Also was a first baseman with the Pirates, Cubs, Yankees, and Washington Senators. He once had a MLB record with a home run in eight consecutive games. His bat is in Cooperstown.

I've covered one left-handed catcher in high school baseball this season, and it was the weirdest thing I've ever seen next to a left-handed third baseman.
