Finally found the time to properly get stuck into this from @1990sUtd. It’s a must-read for any Red. Admittedly, I’m a ’90s romanticist, but I had goosebumps being taken back to those early-decade title charges. It used to be better.

He got done by Darren Pitcher before HT. Fergie was going to sub him but he wanted to carry on. Sub was ready to come on when Southgate hit him. Keane was out injured for weeks, so his red card suspension was irrelevant. Some papers called for him to be banned until August 🙄
