@JSamwise Honestly I think context also matters the Tarly weren’t innocently in their own home when Dany fought them and won. They had just come after sacking their liege lord home and Dany offered terms after they lost. She made a statement and the rest of the Army bent the knee as result

The Tarly Execution marks the moment the Silver Queen’s fire turned from liberator to tyrant.
Varys warns that the Mad King’s blood is starting to boil. Tyrion tries to defend the fire, but his eyes tell a different story.
It’s the beginning of the end; a moment where loyalty starts to look a lot like fear.

@JSamwise Honestly I don’t see why this particular action is criticized so heavily but the Stark actions are considered justified. Sansa feed Ramsey (head of the Boltons) to his own hounds, Arya fed Walder his own son to him before killing all male members, they weren’t offer a surrender?

@WizFather_ Uh Varys doenst offer a solution. He just says “don’t do this” and tells Dany what everyone knows. Cersei is more then willing to use all of kings landing as a human shield. They are expecting her to break the wheel but don’t offer any ideas how to do it.
English

After the death of Rhaegal and Missandei's capture in Game of Thrones, Varys advises Daenerys against a direct dragon-fire attack on King's Landing to avoid slaughtering innocents, fearing she is becoming a tyrant like her father.
He seeks to protect the “realm” (the common people), and Varys recognizes the signs of the "Mad King" in Daenerys's growing paranoia and desire for vengeful destruction.
She ignores his counsel, consumed by grief and rage, and ultimately follows Missandei’s final word, "Dracarys," to destroy King's Landing.

@JSamwise This scene bothered me. Sure maybe Tyrion and Varys don’t know but the show treats Dany killing the commanders of an opposing army as “extreme” but treats Ramsey being fed alive to his own hounds and Arya poisoning seemingly every male member of house Frey as justified and right?
