Even Green Party figures now worry the party's emphasis on hard-left economics & sectarianism is turning off environmentally-conscious voters in rural England This is an opportunity for Kemi Badenoch as @kittyraethomp set out brilliantly here spectator.com/article/badeno…
Steven Swinford@Steven_Swinford

Exclusive from @daisyeastlake Zack Polanski has been warned that he faces a generational divide and risks alienating older environmentalists in the Green Party by focusing on younger far-left activists The Green Party leader made a conscious effort on Thursday, at the launch of his local election campaign, to thank long-term members who backed the party “before it was cool” Senior Greens are concerned that he risks putting off the party’s traditional core, especially in more rural areas, by focusing too heavily on issues such as trans rights and Gaza The party has enjoyed a wave of new support since Polanski became leader in September and began to focus heavily on the party’s more socially liberal politics. More than half of voters aged between 18 and 24 would vote Green in a general election, according to the latest YouGov polling But some senior Greens have warned Polanski risks taking confidence on the environment for granted. One said the party needs to be “more vocal” about environmental issues to keep some voters on side thetimes.com/article/9308dc…

I was invited to appear on the Moral Maze this evening but then I learned that Ash Sarkar, a self-declared communist, would be on the panel. Having interviewed women who were taken from their homes in the middle of the night, pushed onto cattle wagons to be dumped in Siberia and others who were tortured or whose families were killed - all in the name of this ideology - I withdrew. Would the BBC have a fascist as one of their panellists? For me, a communist is no better than a fascist.

@DaleVince Well the only people getting a bailout are those in fuel poverty. We need to pay our civil servants better if the poor guy's going to benefit. Or maybe you're talking bollocks, Dale?

Horrified to see Hannah Spencer being subjected to this during her maiden speech - and sadly know its common place attack on women in public life. Attacking women for what they look like shows you fear what they say. Or that they can speak without your consent at all. It speaks more to your insecurities than them..
FreeByTheSea@Free_ByTheSea

Have you ever watched reality television show ‘Snog Marry Avoid’? I asked @grok to do a POD style makeunder, and dress Hannah Spencer in a simple white blouse and black pencil skirt, and smarten up her hair. Anyone who thinks her presentation is irrelevant should take a look. She dresses like a child for a reason. That concerns me.

They genuinely look so shit, after a week they slide down the lamppost and just look shit. Can we just do it the normal way where you have a few flagpoles in a town that are installed properly? (You know what we had before you lot pretended we didnt)

🚨NEW: British and English flags are returning across Birmingham after the council said they were banned. Locals have said: “for every one flag removed, they will raise hundreds more” Patriotism is surging once again.

@ZacGoldsmith Zac when Corbyn's mild social democracy was popular: Jezza is basically Hitler. Zac now Polanski's mild social democracy is popular: Why aren't people voting for good old Jezza? x.com/i/status/12034…

The Wiesenthal Centre describes Corbyn as the greatest threat to Jews worldwide. It is so profoundly chilling. But what is even more chilling is that so many people are either indifferent to it, or even welcome it.

I don’t understand why anyone would favour Polanski’s ‘Greens’ over Corbyn’s party. They are virtually identical in terms of policy, but Corbyn has at least been consistent and steady as a rock for decades. This guy is just a total charlatan. It’s pure plastic politics.

New audio emerges. Zack Polanski - Barnet London Assembly Hustings. A vote for him and his Lib Dem colleagues would be for “more police on the beat, for Israel and for Judaism”
