@skltnyz Honestly though having that support has been the silver lining for me. I'm grateful for my sister and my brother and our mutual love for one another. I can't imagine what it's like for people without siblings in their lives to lean on. I'm also lucky my parents mellowed out.

@skltnyz When my mom found out about my purging habits she had a whole switch around moment. My parents are kind of hypocrites cuz when I was in outpatient for SI, they were mad AT me. I've found support in my sister however because of those shared experiences, including our eds.

@skltnyz It's mostly my mother's doing from a cultural standpoint, but I will say a lot of white families overly govern their children's lives until they move out.

@skltnyz If they rely on their parents for housing/money then they probably don't wanna disobey them. when my sister lived under our roof (21-22), she still had to abide by my parents' wishes until she decided to move out. the house was a way for them to get her to do what they wanted ig?

but people always assume that it'll ever happen. i CAN'T picture myself making friends or getting better grades no matter how hard i think i'm working. people say you have to work on yourself before you can consider fulfillment by other means. but how can you say that-
