The money spent on transfers by top six clubs since Mikel Arteta took charge in December 2019. Mikel Arteta took over a side which sat 11th in the table. The dressing room involved an aging squad which was a mess. Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea have all spent more than Mikel Arteta at Arsenal. Chelsea have spent over double. Mikel Arteta is the only one who has his team challenging the best clubs in the country. This idea that Arteta has spent a ridiculous amount of money simply isn’t true. He’s got Arsenal back competing amongst the best while spending considerably less than Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United. Mikel Arteta has many doubters but I’m certainly not one of them.
